(Borrowed from my running club post)

I hate shopping. I have hated shopping since I got heavy enough (and I have never been by any means HEAVY) that I couldn’t wear retail store clothes. You know no one would have ever called me overweight. I am tall and I might have described myself as a “big Irish woman”… anyway, I was always having to try extra large shirts, that would be too tight, pants wouldn’t fit right – and Plus size clothes were far to “roomy” for me.

I got discouraged and grew to hate shopping. I started running in JUly, and have been noticing some changes over the months, but my “weight” hasn’t really changed at all. I went down a size, then levelled off.

Last night I stopped for a few minutes while waiting to meet up with friends, and checked out the sales rack. I need new jeans (mine are all kind of baggy now). So I picked up the only 2 prs in the size smaller than I own, and tried them on.

In less than five minutes I walked out of the store with 2 new pairs of jeans, size 11, that look pretty darned good, if I do say so myself.

I have been going though a lot of crap here lately, and this was just the pick-me-up I needed!

They look great! Now that I have seen both pairs…and yes I said it of my own initiative!
