Longest continuous run yet!

The great thing about being new to a hobby or skill, is the upcurve! It feels awesome to keep setting new personal bests! I’m not in it for the competitive aspect, just to meet my own goals and continue to improve. Today I wimped out and headed to the gym for a run on the track. I just didn’t feel like heading out in the rain.

Even so, it was a great run. I wasn’t the slowest, but next to it I’m sure. I didn’t come close to the fastest, or likely even the longest endurance-wise, but I think I outran most of the other runners in mileage today.

The best part about it, was that I ran longer than ever, without a single walking interval. 6.5Km! AND I felt great when I finished! I think it may be a PB for time as well (45:28), however most of my long runs are outdoors, with hills and wind…

One thing I like, is when I put on my running gear, which I have come to find much more comfortable to run in when “fitted”, perhaps even tight. I’m not feeling that self-consciousness I once may have felt. I don’t look too damn bad! And if the last 9 months are any indication, things can only look up from here!

The long ones, or the short ones? The long came from Frenchy’s I’m afraid. The short ones came from Costco a couple weeks ago.

Exept the scale…which will only go down…

I gotta get me some of those pants you have…they do look good on you…and you make me envious everytime we run together…

Thanks Deb! I’ve been blogging for a while now, but seemed to get some momentum over the last few months. Soemtimes I try to tackle the philosophical-troubles-of-the-world type stuff, others I just report on my day. I’ve started blogging more detail on my runs, but want to get more into that. Perhaps it will help me analyze my training!
